Wanted: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Original title)
Date: 1993 (Copyright)

Country: United Kingdom

Director: David Dugan

Synopsis: Once the most wanted outlaws in the American Old West, the desperadoes were believed to have fled to Bolivia only to die in a hail of bullets. But did they? This film follows Clyde Snow, one of the world's foremost forensic anthropologists, who has spent 30 years deciphering the secrets of bones, to a remote graveyard high in the Andes to identify some ancient bones. He travels with Butch and Sundance historians, Dan Buck and his wife Anne Meadows. They consult the archives, travel through Wyoming on horseback, through the Cholila valley in Northern Patagonia where the outlaws ranched peacefully and where their log cabin survives, over the Andes, through desolate Bolivian landscapes, to the Concordia Tin Mine where the outlaws worked as payroll guards, and to the village of San Vicente where they were died and where Snow finds, possibly, their bones.
